Age Requirement: 18 and under as of May 1, 2008
The 2008 18 and
Under Elite Division will kick off May 30, 2008. As in the
past, this is primarily a weekend league with three games scheduled
each weekend against the same team - similar to most college
conference schedules. You will either play one game on Saturday
followed by a double header on Sunday or a double header on Saturday
followed by a single game on Sunday. To accommodate teams wishing to
participate in additional out of town tournaments and events we have
Thursday and Friday dates available also. All teams will be
scheduled for some Thursday and Friday dates. The primary
facilities for these games will be Grossmont Community College, San Diego City College (Morley Field)
and Westview High School.
Organizational affiliations:
All entered teams
will be affiliated with five different National Organizations:
·
PONY
BASEBALL (Colt / Palomino)
·
National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF)
·
Continental Amateur Baseball Federation (CABA)
·
United States Amateur Baseball Federation Inc (USABF)
·
American Amateur Baseball Congress (AABC / Mickey Mantle & Connie
Mac)
These five
organizations have National Tournaments and all teams are encouraged
to participate in as many events as they can fit into their summer
schedule. If you commit to one of the events you will be expected
to fulfill your commitment in order to be in good standing with the
San Diego Elite Baseball League. Teams not in good standing will be
precluded from participating in future play.
